Beware of Passwords and Privileged Access
Attacks upon information security infrastructure continue to evolve steadily overtime; becoming more and more sophisticated over time. With the proliferation of recent data breaches, its evident that privileged access and passwords are the major contributor. As per the 10th Verizon Data Breach Investigation Report in 2017, Insider and Privilege Misuse construe a big 60% of the breach use cases. A whopping 81% of breaches used stolen/weak passwords. In this talk Pooja will take us through the principles and the governance process using which organizations can secure one of their most powerful assets: the privileged access. And, Parul will present the concept, components, architecture and working of FIDO which is a fast emerging open standard for advanced password-less authentication based on Public Key Cryptography (PKC). She will also draw a comparison between FIDO and Aadhaar, given that both are biometric authentication systems based on PKC.
